This verse changed my life

This week Chase discusses the story of Ananias and Sapphira and the dangers to be careful of in the church - How to handle sin and hypocrisy. How important it was for the early church to start off on a good moral foundation. "That's the thing about sin inside the church; it has to be rooted out. We have the choice to let God do it by forcibly removing it, or we can do it ourselves through repentance."

"Make it your aim to put prayer into your daily calendar and what you'll find is that as you pray more and more, your God will get bigger and bigger, and your problems will get smaller and smaller, and God will begin to work in you and through you in ways you can't even imagine."

Maybe you think to yourself "It seems like there's bad people and there's good people. How can God say that even those that are good can't get to heaven if they don't believe in Jesus. That seems harsh, unfair." Aren't christians supposed to be humble and accepting?How can they say Jesus is the ONLY way? Isn't that prideful? Arrogant?Today Chase will show you that Christianity isn't any of those things. It's not prideful, it's not arrogant. And even though Christianity is exclusive, like every other religion or philosophy in the world, that's NOT what should shock you about christianity. You shouldn't be shocked about it's exclusivity, but you should be shocked by it's radical INCLUSIVITY!

This week in Acts chapter 3, let's see what happens when you unleash a holy spirit filled, gospel proclaiming, bible applying, fellowshipping, praying people into the community that doesn't know Jesus!

What does Jesus have in mind for the church? If all you know about church is their worship style and a few sermons..if all you've experienced at a church is that 1hr service...you haven't had a REAL church experience.

Evangelism...Remember, that's the mission. Go and make disciples that make disciples. "One of the best ways that you can take steps in evangelism is to be a public christian.""Everyone you know is living according to a story, and if it's not the story of the Bible, it's going to fall apart one day. The most loving thing we can do is point them to the truth."

What happens after Jesus was crucified? And why would God give all his power to His son, to Jesus?.... Well, to finish what He started. Where have you placed your hope?Where do you draw your power?

The church is not a meeting; it's a movement. Are you a part of the movement?

We welcomed guest speaker Curtis Andrusko form The Summit church to speak on the gospel today. We look at Philippians 3 and how Apostle Paul wants to take us "Back to the Basics" of the christian life and remind us of the fundamentals.

To end the study in Proverbs, Chase teaches us to NOT look at Proverbs (or any other book) as another list of "to-do's and don'ts", but to look for Jesus in each one. God doesn't want us to "be perfect" or feel failure because we can't live up to all the commands. We will never be perfect, but Jesus is!Christianity isn't about behavior modification, it's about heart transformation.
