This verse changed my life

Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat it's fruits."With our words, we are either growing and expanding the kingdom of God, we are bringing heaven down to earth..OR we are expanding the kingdom of Satan, we are pulling hell up into our lives. That's a sobering thought. Words have power! Our words have an incredible effect on ourselves and others.

Chase talks about 4 insights into the will of God. *God's will is more about a direction than a decision.*God's will is less about the future and more about today.*God's will is more about our character than a choice.*God is more concerned about you experiencing His will than you are.

A topic most of us probably haven't though about since high school- FRIENDSHIP.Key take aways:〜 Proverbs 13:20 tells us "Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise, but the companion of fools will suffer."〜 "Our friends determine the direction and quality of our lives".〜 "You will always walk like those you walk with."

This week in Proverbs Chase discusses the topic of Money and the actions of the "wise" versus the "foolish"."when we steward God's resources in a wise way, he will trust us with more resources to steward."

* "You live in the world God created, not the other way around."* "God doesn't want us to be confused. He has actually given us the blueprints or the plans for how he has designed every area of your life to function."

This week Chase wraps up our series in Philemon about forgiveness. In this last week, Chase discusses what happens when in the small percentage of situations, reconciliation does not work out. What do we do when this happens?

This week we talk about step 2 and 3 of the process of forgiveness and the freedom it gives us.Step 1 was canceling the debt. Step 2 is preparing our hearts.Step 3 is pursuing reconciliation.

There are a ton of reasons that we should forgive, but that doesn't change the fact that one of the main reasons we don't is just because we don't understand what the process of forgiveness actually is. Philemon 1:18-19"If he has wronged you at all, or owes you anything, charge that to my account. I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it - to say nothing of your owing me even your own self."

* Taking a look at foundational reasons why our world is the way that it is.* The bible isn't an old book, it's a timeless book. The bible doesn't just tell us what happened, but what always happens. * Genesis 3 will not only make sense of the confusion we might feel, but it's also going to give us some immense hope.
